Shaggy's Indoor Flea Market was opened on June 1st, 2017 by local Dubuquer, Lisa Hammel, her husband & two children. The name & mascot, Shaggy, is the family's 14-year-old Shih Tzu-Poodle. The inspiration to name the business after Shaggy fit perfectly with the location of the store, as Shaggy's is located in the former Dubuque Regional Humane Society building.

Lisa's interest in flea markets sprouted in childhood, where she spent lots of time with family going to flea markets & browsing antique stores. Lisa opened the flea market with the goal of doing what she loves everyday.

The typical day for Lisa is going to work with her boss, Shaggy, who loves to meet new people from all over the country. She gets to spend her day surrounded by thousands of different antique and unique treasures, each of which have their own distinctive history. Her passion is to share that history with others and meet new people along the way.

Shaggy's Flea Market is comprised of a network of over 140+ dedicated vendors. and consignors. Each vendor rents units of shelving at a monthly rate and fills the unit with all the different types of goods that Shaggy's has to offer. Vendors can also consign their products. Our vendors are passionate about their finds and spend many hours searching for the perfect flea market treasures, which we get to share with our customers. Shaggy's accepts cash and credit cards on behalf of all of our vendors.

We are truly grateful for all of our wonderful vendors and our amazing customers. Without you all, Shaggy's wouldn't be here today.
